"for the artisans, in the meantime, this has been an possibility to use and show off their abilities in a brand new location and to create very unique partnerships with their collaborators inside the co-design procedure.

Timber is one of the materials being used in the challenge
One of the amputees, caitlin mcmullan, stated discussions about her use of a prosthetic limb stimulated the design work.
She said: "we spoke a bit about my enjoy of being an amputee, and my experience of earlier than my amputation.
"it was accurate to consider the layout of that, and communicate about how i think the layout is disability-focus as well."
She introduced: "i like having choice, i really like changing what my prosthesis could appear to be.
"i don't want to cover it up. I do not absolutely see the factor in seeking to conceal it. That is what i like approximately this assignment. It is making some thing absolutely fine out of a prosthesis."

The intention of the undertaking is to make prosthetic limbs extra private
Chema perez, who along with carol sloan is another of the amputees, worked with craftsman mr milton on a wooden greave.
Mr perez said: "the idea roger had about having a piece of timber which isn't always sincerely high-quality and brilliant but something that has a few marks of imperfection that tells you a tale, became something that i was seeking out.
"something that displays my experience to make it greater private."
